We are an independent, fundamental, soul winning, separated, King James Bible-believing Baptist church – and not ashamed to say so. Our mission is to to peach the gospel of Jesus Christ, disciple believers with unfiltered Bible preaching, and build strong, lifelong friendships. Here are a few things that set us apart:
Soul Winning
We take the command to win lost souls to Christ seriously. We have 3 soul winning times a week, where we go out into our community and preach the Gospel to anyone that will listen.
Family Integrated
Children and infants are always welcome in the church service; we do not separate children from their parents for any reason. We do have a mother baby room for infants and nursing mothers.
Hard Preaching
At Hold Fast Baptist Church, you’ll hear bold, unfiltered preaching that educates you on the Bible, flies in the face of our modern culture, and truly changes lives.

About Our Pastor
Jared Pozarnsky and his family began their journey for Christ in California in 2016 when they moved West from North Dakota. Following a desire to serve the Lord with their lives, the Pozarnsky family started over in California by moving to Verity Baptist Church in Sacramento. In 2018, Jared felt the desire to do more for the Lord, and moved to Fresno to lead a satellite ministry of Verity Baptist Church. In August of 2021, after leading the satellite ministry in Fresno for 2 years, Jared was ordained the Pastor of Hold Fast Baptist Church.
Along with his wife of 24 years, the Pozarnsky’s have three wonderful children. Pastor, his family, and the entire Hold Fast Baptist family would love to get to know you at one of our services. At Hold Fast Baptist Church we have a culture of unfiltered Bible Preaching, seeking the lost with the Gospel, homeschooling, church fellowship, and exciting activities of all kinds. What We Believe
We believe in salvation by grace through faith. This means salvation is a free gift offered by God, and cannot be earned by any work (church attendance, baptism, repenting of your sins, etc.). Salvation is when an individual places 100% of their faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone, rather than in one’s own good works or actions. Jesus Christ paid the full penalty of mankind’s sin with His death on the cross, meaning there is no payment left to be made.
We believe in the eternal security of the believer (once saved always saved). Just as there is nothing an individual can do to earn salvation, there is they can do to lose it. Salvation is an everlasting gift that begins the moment one believes on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. By taking it away, for any reason, God would be breaking His promise of “eternal” life.
We believe that the King James Version of the Bible is the Word of God. We believe God inspired and preserved it.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, was and is without sin, and was begotten by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary.
We believe in the autonomy of the local church. This means that we are independent of all denominations, conventions, and fellowships. We place Jesus Christ and the Bible as the head of our church, and not a pope, prophet, president, board of directors, etc. This also means we reject the teaching of the “universal church”.
We believe that church membership is a privilege, not a right. Church members are subject to be removed from membership, and not allowed to attend the services, if they violate the qualifications of church membership as set forth in the Holy Scriptures and by-laws of Hold Fast Baptist Church.
We believe that the unsaved will spend eternity tormented in a literal hell (and eventually the Lake of Fire).
We reject the teaching of Calvinism and believe that God wants everyone to be saved.
We believe that abortion is murder and oppose all forms of birth control that end life after conception (fertilization). On these same grounds, we are also opposed to any medical research or vaccine creation using any product of the abortion process.
We are non-dispensational.
We oppose worldliness and believe in a holy, separated life.
We take a stand against the Charismatic and Ecumenical movement of our day.
We believe that sodomy (homosexuality) is a sin and an abomination before God. No sodomite (homosexual or unnatural person) will be allowed to attend or join Hold Fast Baptist Church.
This is not an all inclusive list; we believe anything and everything found in the King James Version of the Bible.
